Missy's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles!

Almost talked about as much as the worship service itself were the delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles served during the January SNA worship! Missy was kind enough to share the recipe with us!!

Prep: 30 minutes, Freeze: 30 minutes, Stand: 30 minutes
Makes about 20 truffles.

1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
4 oz. dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
4 oz. chocolate-flavor candy coating, chopped
1 tablespoon shortening

1. Line a baking pan with waxed paper; set aside. In a medium bowl beat butter, brown sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Beat in flour just until combined. Stir in chocolate pieces. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on prepared baking pan. Cover; freeze about 30 minutes or until firm.

2. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan heat chopped chocolate, candy coating, and shortening over low heat, stirring until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

3. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Using a fork, dip balls into chocolate mixture, allowing excess mixture to drip back into saucepan. Place dipped balls on the baking sheet. Let stand or chill about 30 minutes or until set. Lightly drizzle with the remaining melted chocolate mixture.

To store: Place truffles in a single layer in an airtight container; cover. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Another Successful Practice!!

We are making progress! The 2nd song rehearsal was successful! Wendy on drums, Brian on guitar, Ann on the piano, Roula, Jen, Missy and Jessica singing! The excitement is building for the SNA crew -- only 6 days until the first SNA worship!

WELCOME to the new Saturday Night Alive page of the First Presbyterian Church of Batavia, NY!

The SNA committee has been working hard over the past few months to bring the new Saturday Night Alive worship to First Presbyterian! Our hope is that these services will be an enrichment to our worship life together. They will be relaxed services with high energy, powerful music, prayers, children's message, a celebration of communion, and a message from Pastor Roula. Come as you are and feel free to bring along your coffee or tea!
